The hand actuated valve when attached to the oil drain port permits engine oil changes from the ground without removing the engine cowling. The spring loaded E Z Drain valve cannot be accidently opened. Actuation of the valve requires a combination push twist motion. It also contains a dual seal arrangement which combines both an O ring and a metal to metal seal to prevent accidental leakage of oil through the valve.
